Previous Post Next Post Donations For Big Sky Medical Center Top $2 Million 03-16-2016 On behalf of Big Sky Medical Center, the Bozeman Health Foundation to date has received more than $2 million in cash and in-kind gifts. And, according to Jason Smith, Executive Vice President of Philanthropy, an additional $2.5 million has been pledged by or through outstanding partners including Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, Yellowstone Club, Spanish Peaks Mountain Club and Moonlight Basin. Thanks to this private philanthropic support, Phase I plans included a fully equipped MRI suite. Big Sky residents Steve and Robin Stephenson, through the Charles and Peggy Stephenson Family Foundation, issued an $850,000 challenge grant to cover half the $1.7 million cost for MRI services. Several contributors have taken advantage of this matching opportunity. Additionally, BSMC’s inaugural “friends” group came together for its first meeting in March. This small but passionate group of volunteers is helping lead fundraising and friend-raising efforts in support of Montana’s first new hospital in more than forty years. Initial members are Ginna Hermann, Robin Stephenson, Steve Stephenson, Dr. Bob Thompson and Mary Grace Wilkus. The group is actively planning future outreach programs and is excited about expanding its network of founding supporters, Smith said. All five members are available to provide tours of Big Sky Medical Center to those who may be interested in supporting this facility and its programs. Those interested in learning more about giving options may contact the Bozeman Health Foundation at 406-414-1085.
